AMR signs 10-year nanomaterial deal

Feb. 10, 2004 — AMR Technologies Inc. (Profile, News, Web) has signed a 10-year contract to supply nanomaterials for a consumer product, according to a news release.

The Toronto-based firm said it has developed a novel form of cerium oxide for a product that awaits further evaluation by the customer before being launched. AMR said a confidentiality agreement keeps it from disclosing the name of its customer or the product’s application, the release said.

AMR estimates that sales of its materials could result in revenues of $25 million a year for every 1 percent global market share penetration by the product.
