EU probing alleged chip price fixing

February 26, 2004 – The European Union has opened a probe into allegations of collusion over chip prices and output among the world’s memory chip producers, according to Dow Jones.

The investigation mirrors a similar effort by the US Department of Justice into whether Micron, Infineon, Samsung, and Hynix conspired to manipulate DRAM prices.
