February 23, 2004 – Synopsys Inc., Mountain View, CA, has acquired Monolithic System Technology Inc. (MoSys), a provider of high-density SoC embedded memory technology, for $432 million in cash and stock. The deal is expected to close by May 2004.

Synopsys has also acquires Accelerate Networks, a privately held developer of technology for high-speed serial interfaces.

The deals will add MoSys’ 1T-SRAM memory technology and Accelerant’s 6.25Gb/sec CMOS transceivers and serializer-deserializer technology to Synopsys’ IP portfolio.
