Toshiba tilts toward Analog Devices

Feb. 19, 1004 — Toshiba Corp. has selected Analog Devices Inc.’s iMEMS accelerometer to provide tilting function for a new laptop computer, according to a news release.

Toshiba’s Portege M200/205 Series PCs works like a normal laptop, but includes a display that rotates for information viewing and sharing. The ADXL311 accelerometer enables users to tilt their laptops up and down to view the top and bottom of Web pages, or turn the pages of a digital book or magazine by tilting the laptop from left to right, the release said.
