February 3, 2004 – Xilinx Inc. plans to open up a new headquarters in Singapore to serve the Asia-Pacific market. The facility, expected to be operational in early 2005, will offer R&D and chip testing services, as well as various back-office functions.
The company expects its regional operations, spanning 10 locations including Japan, to account for more than half of overall revenues in the next few years (it was 35% in 2003).
Xilinx has its US headquarters in California, and European offices in Ireland.
