Applied names Xilinx exec to board

March 26, 2004 – Applied Materials Inc., Santa Clara, CA, has appointed Xilinx president, CEO, and chairman of the board Willem P. Roelandts to its board of directors, effective immediately. Roelandts also serves as chairman of the Fabless Semiconductor Association and as a board member of both the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and the Technology Network.
