March 11, 2004 – Singapore’s Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing has raised its projections for 1Q04 revenue to $279-$285 million, sequential growth of 23%-25% instead of 21%-24%.
The company also expects a net loss of $3-$11 million, including Fab 1 restructuring expenses and accounting treatments, better than previous projections of $3.6-$13.6 million.
Revenues from 0.18-micron and below products is expected to be “in the mid-40s percentage of total revenues,” with 35% sequential growth in 0.13-micron products.
