MARCH 31–WILMINGTON, Mass. — Polychromix, Inc., a developer of advanced wavelength management components for optical networking, is opening a larger headquarters and manufacturing facility here.

The facility will house Polychromix’s expanded manufacturing lines to meet the growing demand from optical networking equipment makers and subsystem integrators for the Polychromix Dynamic Channel Orchestrator (P-DCO) platform.

To support manufacturing and customer service efforts, Polychromix will grow its staff by approximately 60 percent in 2004, with hiring primarily focused on engineers and technicians. The 24,000 square foot facility features state-of-the-art manufacturing environments including clean rooms, optical benches and automated robots to assist in the construction of the company’s products.
