April 28, 2004 – DuPont Air Products Nanomaterials LLC, an Arizona-based joint venture of DuPont Co. and Air Products and Chemicals Inc., is expanding its electronic polishing and planarization business through acquisitions each company has made, according to a news release.
Air Products will contribute the slurry technologies acquired from the 2003 purchase of Ashland Specialty Chemical Company’s Electronic Chemicals business; DuPont will contribute the slurry technologies of EKC Technology, which it bought in 2002 as part of ChemFirst.
The expansion seeks to enhance the venture’s product portfolio and presence within semiconductor manufacturing, the release said.
