Nanotechnologies, Technanogy merge assets

April 14, 2004 – Two firms have merged in an effort to commercialize aluminum nanoparticle technology. Austin, Texas-based Nanotechnologies Inc. (Profile, News, Web) will manage the assets of Technanogy Materials Development of Santa Ana, Calif.

Nanotechnologies said the deal will strengthen its nanoparticle offerings for such areas as explosives, munitions, primers and plastic additives.

The merger also supports Nanotechnologies’ plans to form a new group focused on commercial and military applications.
