April 19, 2004 – Synopsys Inc., Mountain View, CA, said it has terminated its merger agreement with Monolithic System Technology Inc. (MoSys), Sunnyvale, CA, announced in February, and will pay a $10 million termination fee to the firm.

MoSys, however, is disputing the move, stating that Synopsys doesn’t have the right to terminate the deal, and it “is prepared to promptly proceed to close the transaction.”
