Air Liquide signs 15-year deal with TI

May 27, 2004 — Air Liquide America has signed an exclusive 15-year carrier gas supply agreement for a Texas Instruments’ new 300mm semiconductor manufacturing facility to be constructed in Richardson, Texas.

Groundbreaking is expected by the end of 2005.

Air Liquide, a partner for Texas Instruments’ semiconductor fabs at their US facilities, has extended its current gases and services contract in order to support TI with increased levels of safety, reliability, quality and competitiveness.

The group will supply ultra pure carrier gases (liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon and hydrogen) to TI’s new 300mm Fab.

Air Liquide will also provide Total Gas and Chemical Management operations, all gas and chemical distribution equipment and related installation, and Air Liquide Balazs Analytical Services.

Approximately 300 Air Liquide employees support TI’s semiconductors Fabs with dedicated on-site teams.
