ASPLA to start 90nm tests

May 10, 2004 – The Advanced SoC Platform Corp. (ASLPA) and Semiconductor Technology Academic Research Center (STARC) plan to begin test production of 90nm system LSIs by the end of this month, according to local news reports.

The two government-sponsored groups, set up by 10 Japanese chipmakers, could begin mass production of 90nm SoC chips next spring at facilities of Fujitsu, Toshiba, Renesas, and NEC.
