Semiconductor industry giants sign licensing agreement

Technologies, Inc., a semiconductor packaging technology developer, announced that it signed a technology licensing agreement with NEC Electronics Corporation of Kawasaki, Japan, one of the world’s ten largest semiconductor manufacturers. NEC Electronics uses Tessera’s technology in a broad range of its semiconductor devices, including application-specific integrated circuits and logic devices. These semiconductors are, in turn, integrated into a variety of products, including wireless communications devices and computing electronics.

(ASSOCIATED PRESS, July 8, 2004) Frankfurt, Germany&#8212Siemens AG, Germany’s largest technology company, announced today major changes to its management and corporate structure. Most notably, it proposed that 46-year-old Klaus Kleinfeld, former head of Siemens Corp. in New York, replace Heinrich von Pierer as the company’s CEO as of January 27, 2005. Siemens’ board of directors will consider this proposal on July 28.
