Aug. 17, 2004 – EV Group, an Austrian maker of MEMS and semiconductor wafer processing equipment, has opened a second customer-support center in Japan.
The center is in the city of Fukoka on the island of Kyushu, an area that accounts for nearly one-third of Japan’s semiconductor production, according to a news release. EV Group said the location provides opportunities to expand its customer base and join R&D efforts in MEMS and nanotechnology.
EV Group Japan also is sponsoring a seminar covering MEMS, nanoimprint lithography and plasma bonding Aug. 27 in Fukoka.
