According to the agreement, Amkor also obtained a 60 percent interest in Taiwan-based Unitive Semiconductor Taiwan Corporation, a joint venture between Unitive and various Taiwanese investors. Unitive management teams in North Carolina and Taiwan will remain in place, and Unitive operations in North Carolina will continue to focus on development of advanced wafer level packaging technologies, provide commercial scale processing of early stage applications as well as domestic wafer level packaging. Amkor will continue to offer wafer level processing services through Unitive facilities in addition to integrating Unitive technologies into Amkor turnkey solutions.
(August 27, 2004) Hong Kong and Pleasanton, Calif.—ASAT Holdings Limited, a provider of semiconductor package design, assembly and test services, today announced financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2005 (ended July 31, 2004). Net revenue in the first quarter was $55.5 million, a 12 percent decrease compared with $63.0 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004.
