MKS, Umetrics have APC under control

August 10, 2004 – MKS Instruments Inc., a Wilmington, MA-based provider of manufacturing process control technologies, and Umetrics AB, a Swedish company specializing in multivariate analysis and modeling software, have teamed up to offer semiconductor manufacturers a turnkey solution for e-diagnostics and advanced process control (APC). The two companies have combined Umetrics’ embedded fault detection engine SIMCA-QP+ with MKS’ recently launched TOOLweb product suite to provide complete sensor-to-sensor fault detection and classification (FDC).
