Aug. 16, 2004 – The convergence of nanotechnology and the semiconductor industry will be discussed during SEMI’s quarterly webcast Wednesday at noon EDT. Semiconductor equipment sales are forecasted to grow by 60 percent during 2004, including sales to nanoelectronics and other nano-enabled technology firms.
Speakers during the webcast include Victoria Hadfield, president of SEMI North America and Global Industry Advocacy; Lubab L. Sheet, research development director for SEMI; and Steve Crosby, president and publisher of Small Times Media. The convergence will also be discussed at two upcoming industry events: NanoCommerce 2004, produced by Small Times Oct. 5-7 in Chicago; and SEMI NanoForum 2004, produced by SEMI Nov. 14-17 in Austin, Texas.
