October 21, 2004 – Intel Corp. today introduced the Intel Pentium M processor 765 in an effort to expand its mobile processor offerings and produce a broader range of Intel Centrino mobile technology-based notebooks for corporate and home users.
More than 50% of Intel Pentium M processors shipping are now built on Intel’s 90nm manufacturing process technology, including the new Intel Pentium M processor 765. Based on Intel’s mobile architecture, the new processor features 2MB of integrated, power-managed Level 2 cache and a frequency of 2.10 GHz. It also features a power optimized 400 MHz system bus and includes power saving technologies such as Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology, which helps optimize application performance and power consumption to enable extended battery life.
The Intel Pentium M processor 765 will be featured in Intel Centrino mobile technology-based systems being introduced worldwide today. Intel is also shipping boxed versions of the new processor to Intel authorized distributors for system integrators worldwide. In 1000-units quantities, the Intel Pentium M processor 765 is priced at $637.
