Law firm launches biotech practice

Oct. 12, 2004 – Winstead Sechrest & Minick P.C., a Dallas-based law firm, launched a practice specializing in biotechnology and hired four new biotech and pharmaceutical experts, according to a news release.

The Biotechnology Practice Group and the new additions are aimed at supporting the legal needs of clients in nanobiotechnology, biomedicine, bioscience, medical devices and the pharmaceutical industries. The new practice seeks to build off the firm’s expertise in several emerging areas, including the nanotechnology practice it launched in 2002.

Serving as chair of the practice is Jeff Harder, a 25-year legal veteran who joined the firm in May 2004. He will lead a team of roughly 30 biotech and legal professionals.
