Micromem appoints Kuper CTO

Oct. 8, 2004 – Micromem Technologies Inc., a Toronto-based company doing research and development in the area of magnetic random access memory, announced it has hired Cynthia Kuper as acting chief technology officer.

Kuper will be responsible for developing a rollout strategy for the company’s MRAM technology, finding licensees and advising the company’s board and management on technology issues and patent strategy, according to a news release.

Micromem has decided that RFID tags will be the company’s initial market objective for its MRAM technology. Kuper is the founder of Versilant Nanotechnologies and did postdoctoral work in the labs of buckyball discoverer Richard Smalley at Rice University.
