Three states get $295,000 to boost nano efforts

Oct. 21, 2005 – The U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration  has awarded $295,000 to groups in three states to create the Mid-Atlantic Nanotechnology Alliance to boost nano efforts in the region.

The two-year grant to Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology and Delaware Technology Park is designed to establish the region as a global hub for expanded research, development, application and commercialization, according to a news release. Among the alliance’s goals: help secure and attract funding and develop information for policy, planning and investment opportunities.
