Praxair to supply multiple products for Samsung expansion

January 25, 2005 – Praxair Inc. has been selected to supply multiple products to Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.’s expanding operations in Korea. Praxair will supply certain gases and an air separation plant to Samsung for its expanded semiconductor complex in Hwasung.

Praxair will supply nitrogen, oxygen, argon, helium and silane to Samsung, plus it will also design, build, and operate an air separation plant using its engineering organizations in Korea, China, and the US to meet Samsung’s schedule requirements.

Mark Gruninger, VP, Praxair Electronics, said, “We are committed to supporting Samsung’s expanded production capabilities with a broad portfolio of products.”

“Praxair Korea has enjoyed a cooperative relationship with Samsung for over 15 years and will supply the company’s main manufacturing complexes in Gihueng, Hwasung, and Tangjeong,” said K.H. Lee, president of Praxair Korea.
