“During the VISION Awards this year, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of SMT Magazine,” says Gail Flower, editor-in-chief. “From the very first issue, we knew that SMT would be well received as an educational trade journal with lots of news specific to the industry. During this year’s VISION Awards, we showed ‘then’ and ‘now’ pictures of the advisory board, editorial staff, advertisers and news stories. It was highly entertaining to see how much we have changed in 20 years.”
“This was the 14th year of the VISION Awards,” says publisher John Bubello. “This year, there were more submissions than ever before, and even one tie in the Rework & Repair category between Finetech and Best, Inc. Rob Rowland, our advisory board member, set the tone with his keynote kickoff when he stated that visionaries inspire us to envision our future and motivate us to act on our vision. The VISION Awards are a celebration of our visionaries.”
