Nano-Tex announces new fabric enhancements

Feb. 18, 2005 — Nano-Tex LLC, an Emeryville, Calif.-based developer of fabric enhancements, introduced what it maintains is the industry’s first permanent anti-static treatment for synthetic fabrics. The company also rolled out a new stain repel-and-release treatment and a moisture-wicking product custom-designed for wrinkle-free cotton garments.

The company says it designed the new products to address consumer dissatisfaction in some of the largest and fastest-growing segments of the apparel industry, such as static in garments made of polyester fleece and other synthetic fibers; stains that ruin children’s clothes and workwear; and wrinkle-resistant coatings on cotton dress shirts and pants that block the fabric’s weave and prevent moisture absorption.

The treatments are called Resists Static, Repels & Releases Stains and Coolest Comfort, respectively.
