(March 29, 2005) Morris Township, N.J. — Honeywell’s Electronic Materials business has received the Best Quality award from Samsung Electronics’ Semiconductor business. This award is one of several top supplier awards presented by Chang-Kyu Hwang, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics’ Semiconductor business. Its other awards include localization, technical cooperation, productivity, and distinguished service.
Honeywell’s product offerings include “sputtering targets” for metalization processes, as well as various chemicals used as insulators, anti-reflective coatings, and highly selective etchants. The Best Quality award acknowledges Honeywell’s consistent and reliable processes during the supply of those materials.
Companies nominated for these awards demonstrated the ability to partner with Samsung for synergistic growth, according to Samsung. Samsung further notes that Honeywell was chosen for the Best Quality award because of a close customer/supplier relationship and consistent technology cooperative development in 2004.
