NanoOpto unveils new optical isolators

Mar. 14, 2005 — NanoOpto Corp., a Somerset, N.J., developer of nano-fabrication technology for the design and manufacture of nano-optic devices, announced the availability for sampling of the SubWave Optical Isolator, a family of optical isolators designed to reduce cost and device size for data communications and telecommunications transceivers and transponders.

The device can either be used in standard transceiver designs, or as the basis for more compact new architectures. The company says the device uses a proprietary nano-structured design.
