Positive Retailer Response; Widespread Brand Awareness For Cold & Flu Season Anticipated
SinoFresh HealthCare, Inc. (OTCBB: SFSH) introduced SinoFresh(TM) Daily Throat Spray at the Cough, Cold, and Analgesics Efficient Program and Planning Session (EPPS) in Houston last week, receiving positive feedback from key retail customers about the company’s latest brand extension. SinoFresh(TM) Daily Throat Spray is an antiseptic throat spray proven to kill many pharyngeal pathogens that inhabit the deepest areas of the throat.
“We are pleased with the initial response from our retailers, and are confident the product will have significant retail distribution in time for cold and flu season,” stated Michael Gillette, SinoFresh Director of Marketing. “Adding a second SinoFresh(TM) brand product on store shelves will drive awareness for both of our throat and nasal sprays.”
SinoFresh(TM) Daily Throat Spray is the only daily throat spray that antiseptically targets the organisms that may lead to serious illness by killing germs and bacteria that can invade the mouth and throat.
This is the first product launched by SinoFresh Healthcare, Inc. since the nationwide introduction of its leading product SinoFresh(TM) Nasal, Oral & Sinus Care in May 2003. Since hitting the shelves in retail locations nationwide, the nasal spray has sold nearly 500,000 units at an average retail of $15.99.
The throat spray features a patented directional swivel applicator that delivers the solution with a pleasant, minty blast deep to the target zone in the back of throat where bacteria, such as staph and strep, and viruses colonize. It also provides an aromatic decongestant sensation in the nose. Contrary to traditional throat sprays, SinoFresh(TM) has no numbing agents and instead soothes and moisturizes sensitive, inflamed throat tissue.
“In laboratory studies, CPC (Cetylpyridinium chloride), the active ingredient in the throat spray, has been shown to kill bacteria, yeast, viral and fungal organisms that modern research has confirmed to be contributors to upper respiratory disorders, particularly of the nose, mouth, throat and ears,” said Dr. Michael G. Stampar, Chief Medical Officer, SinoFresh HealthCare, Inc. “No other throat spray or lozenge currently on the market can claim to kill this array of organisms – they simply provide symptomatic relief or seek to shorten the duration of a cold once it has already set in.”
SinoFresh(TM) Daily Throat Spray has many other benefits as well:
— It is sugar free and alcohol free. It is sweetened in part with sucralose, a popular sugar substitute among diabetics and weight-conscious individuals.
— It contains Xylitol, a sweetener used in foods since the 1960’s that actually helps to reduce tooth decay by thwarting bacteria and the destructive acids they produce.
— Xylitol has also been shown in multiple clinical trails to significantly reduce the incidence of acute otitis media (AOM) also known as middle ear inflammation and commonly diagnosed in children.
— Xylitol also stimulates salivary flow, thereby reducing “dry throat.”
— It delivers a pleasant, soothing blast of mint flavor that cools and freshens the mouth and throat. When taken with a sore throat, SinoFresh(TM) soothes and moisturizes painful throat tissue.
— It may also play a role in freshening breath by reducing bacteria-laden sulfur compounds that continuously drain to the back of the throat.
SinoFresh(TM) Daily Throat Spray will be available for shipment in June, in 24 case packs of 2fl. ounce bottles. It will be supported along with SinoFresh(TM) Nasal, Oral & Sinus Care through a television and print campaign. The two products will include cross-promotional inserts to raise consumer awareness of the complete line of SinoFresh products. Each bottle contains enough metered sprays to last the average person 3 to 4 weeks with the recommended usage of 3 to 4 sprays daily as needed. It has a suggested retail price of $9.99.
