May 25, 2005 — Amtech Systems Inc. announced $1.3 million in new orders for its S-300 automation for semiconductor diffusion furnaces from a large U.S. based customer.

The customer placed the order to retrofit all of the remaining 6-inch horizontal furnaces in its east coast semiconductor fabrication facility after purchasing and completing evaluation of its first S-300. The S-300 is designed to reduce the operator’s exposure to high temperatures and chemical fumes and improve operator safety through ergonomic loading and unloading.
