April Global Semiconductor Sales Slightly Lose Pace

(May 31, 2005) San Jose, Calif. &#8212 Worldwide semiconductor sales declined slightly in April to $18.2 billion, 1.2% from $18.4 billion in March, reports the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA). However, April sales were up 6.9% from $17.0 billion in April 2004, and the SIA notes that April is typically a strong month for semiconductor sales.
