(May 09, 2005) Hsinchu, Taiwan — ChipMOS Technologies Ltd. (ChipMOS) has reported unaudited consolidated financial results for Q1, which concluded March 31st. Revenue was NT$3,340 million (US$106 million), increasing 8% from NT$3,090 million (US$98 million) for the same period one year ago, and a decrease of 9% from NT$3,679 million (US$117 million) for Q4 2004.
(May 10, 2005) South Portland, Maine — Fairchild Semiconductor announces that it is expanding its Furstenfeldbruck, Germany-based Global Power Resource power design and application lab to provide complete system power solutions for motion and motor control, where the company will invest in new equipment, as well as motion and motor control engineers. Having already completed more than 50 successful system power designs in its first 18 months there, the center has reduced part count requirements and increased efficiency in customer applications.
