DongbuAnam to process LCD driver IC wafers for Tomato LSI

May 19, 2005 – DongbuAnam Semiconductor has announced that Tomato LSI Inc. (TLSI) has selected its high-voltage, 0.18-micron CMOS wafer process to manufacture LCD driver IC (LDI) devices. DongbuAnam will begin providing wafer foundry services to the Korean fabless company this month, initially focusing on implementing two of TLSI’s newest LDIs.

Seon-ho Choi, president of TLSI, said that the first two LDI devices to be processed by DongbuAnam will be used to drive video displays in mobile handsets manufactured by a number of TLSI customers worldwide.

Jae Song, EVP of strategic business development for DongbuAnam, said that the company expects to process two additional LDI devices for TLSI before year’s end. He anticipates foundry production of 8-in. wafers for TLSI will ramp from 2000 to 3000/month from 3Q05.
