May 10, 2005 – Photronics Inc., a Brookfield, Conn., supplier of photomask-based imaging solutions for the global electronics and display industries, today announced that Michael J. Luttati was appointed as chief executive officer, effective June 7. He will replace Constantine (Deno) Macricostas, who has been serving in the role since February, 2004. Macricostas will continue to serve as the company’s chairman and Luttati will serve on Photronics’ board of directors.

Luttati joins Photronics from Axcelis Technologies, Inc. a semiconductor manufacturer supplier, where he had held positions in sales, marketing and operations. He most recently served Axcelis as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
