Beep, Beep … The USDA Food Safety Mobile is coming to Minneapolis

The Food Safety Mobile is coming to your town! The USDA Food Safety Mobile is 35-feet long and serves as a “rolling billboard” for food safety and as an attention-getting backdrop for educational exhibits and events. With its bold, eye-catching designs, the Mobile appeals to adults and children alike. Come out and see the Mobile June 23-25 in Minneapolis at the 96th Annual American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences Conference and Expo.

Launched in 2003, the USDA Food Safety Mobile is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). FSIS is the public health regulatory agency that inspects meat, poultry and egg products for safety and wholesomeness. The Mobile has been to all 48 contiguous U.S. states teaching people how to protect themselves and their families from foodborne bacteria.

Come out to the Mobile to learn safe grilling techniques with BAC! and Thermy using a food thermometer and the four steps to safe food handling: Clean, Separate, Cook and Chill. Along with cooking and food thermometer demonstrations, food safety experts will be on hand to answer your questions.
