Greene, Tweed opens engineering center In Asia

June 24, 2005 – Greene, Tweed announces the establishment of a new engineering center in Asia. The center will become fully operational in October with design, analysis, custom engineering and testing capabilities.

Located in Kumamoto, Japan, the 10,800 sq. ft. facility will serve the entire Asia-Pacific area with a focus on Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.

“We’ve had a local presence in Asia for over 20 years, but we recognize the need to support our rapidly growing business there by adding significantly to our current capabilities,” said Frank Kawabata, regional manager, Japan. “…we can now provide real-time, native language collaboration and engineering feedback.”

The center will support the growing semiconductor industry in the region at both the OEM and end-user levels using the skill and knowledge of highly trained local experts.
