Hygrometrix releases MEMS-based humidity sensor

June 28, 2005 Hygrometrix made its HMX2000-HT humidity-temperature sensor, the Hygrotron, commercially available Monday. The MEMS-based humidity sensor operates on a patented shear stress/strain principle. In development for several years, the sensor combines accuracy and wide dynamic range humidity measurement capability with integral temperature measurement. The Alpine, Calif.-based company is quoting lead times of eight weeks for volume orders.
