Innovative Micro Technology selects Eyelit’s manufacturing suite to support increased customer demand at world’s largest independent MEMS foundry

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–June 21, 2005–Eyelit, Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control and coordination of manufacturing operations for the electronics, life sciences, and semiconductor industries announced today that Innovative Micro Technology (IMT), a leading MEMS manufacturing partner, purchased Eyelit’s enterprise manufacturing suite to manage and control its wafer fab R & D and production operations. IMT becomes the ninth prominent MEMS manufacturer to select Eyelit’s product suite, continuing Eyelit’s momentum in this fast growing industry.

Once again, Eyelit was selected over major MES competitors following several months of evaluation because of Eyelit’s proven quick-implementation capability, application ease-of-use, and demonstrated lowest total-cost of ownership. It was also important for IMT to select a product suite that provided a complete solution, including Execution (MES), Product Costing, Asset Management, and Quality Management.

The MES implementation (Phase I) is currently in progress and will be completed within a month. Phase II includes Product Costing and Asset Management, which will commence immediately following Phase I. IMT plans to have the entire product suite implemented by the end of the year.

“We saw the functionality and the capability we needed in Eyelit. We were confident we could implement Eyelit’s solution quickly to support our production ramp and growing customer base. We looked at all of the leading suppliers and felt Eyelit provided the best value. Also, being a foundry we liked the fact that one of our customers had recently selected Eyelit and were impressed with their satisfaction,” stated Mike Shillinger, Vice President of Operations for IMT.

“Eyelit’s solution is a strategic investment for us”, said John Foster, CEO of IMT. “We view this as the beginning of a long a partnership with Eyelit, and being the largest independent MEMS foundry we need to continually work with partners that help us improve the methods and means we use to better serve our customers.”

“This win continues our success among MEMS manufacturers and ‘high tech’ companies. We continue to surpass our competitors in our speed of implementation, customer satisfaction rating and overall value. It makes us the clear choice once we get involved in the selection process,” stated Dan Estrada, Vice President of Sales and Business Development. “Additionally, members of the IMT team had previous experience with PROMIS (TM), so they understood the necessity and the benefits of manufacturing software.”
