New engineering training center opens in China today

June 14, 2005 – Today will mark the opening ceremony of a new engineering training center in China developed under a parternership between Credence Systems Corp. and the North China University of Technology (NCUT) in Beijing. This training center for engineering students will focus on validation and characterization initially and continue to broaden its scope into mixed-signal, RF, and SoC testing.

“We have chosen to work with Credence because of their advanced solutions and dedication to our community,” said Wang Xiao Chun, president of NCUT.

“China is an important region for the industry in terms of emerging markets. It is part of Credence’s long term strategy to strengthen our support structure there,” said Dave Ranhoff, president and CEO of Credence Systems Corp. “We are honored to be supporting a top university by providing access to our equipment and in turn, students at the university will graduate with practical engineering experience in the field of automatic test equipment.”
