July 7, 2005 — MFIC Corp., a provider of materials processing equipment, announced that it has received two additional orders for its Constant Pressure M-700 series Microfluidizer high shear fluid processor from a Japanese company. MFIC had reported in June that additional orders from the customer were anticipated.
“We anticipate realization of significant additional revenue enhancement in 2005 and beyond from bookings of additional orders for the M-700 series systems with the Constant Pressure Option,” said Irwin Gruverman, MFIC’s chief executive and chairman, in a prepared statement.
He said the Constant Pressure Option — which uses pump position transducers that automatically adapt to changing requirements and maintain constant process pressure — is one of the products of MFIC’s reinvigorated R&D program that was accelerated in the second quarter of 2004, following a debt refinancing, equity offering and return to profitability.
