NY development group announces west coast office

July 12, 2005 — The Center for Economic Growth (CEG), an Albany, N.Y., technology promotion and business development group, announced the opening of a Cupertino, Calif., office dubbed “Tech Valley West”.

Tech Valley is the upstate New York region that includes major installations of companies like IBM and GE and that is host to a cluster of smaller high tech companies as well as universities, incubators and laboratories. In recent years, the region has seen an influx of funds, spearheaded by Governor Pataki’s office, and evidenced by milestones like the creation of the nanofab facility at Albany NanoTech.

CEG’s west coast office is intended to provide a strong Western U.S. presence for the group in order to develop and support relationships and facilitate initiatives in business, academic and government projects.
