Company, lab to make MEMS explosives detector

Aug. 24, 2005 — Sense Holdings Inc. (OTC.BB: SEHO), a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., provider of biometrically secured identification systems and homeland security solutions, announced that the company has entered into an agreement with Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the launching of the first phase of a joint development project.

The effort is the result of the recent acquisition by Sense Holdings of exclusive worldwide patent licenses for chemical sensing for all security applications using MEMS technology developed by Oak Ridge. The licenses include, among other technologies, explosives, chemical warfare agents and narcotics.

The project’s first phase will encompass selecting the appropriate MEMS platform, around which Sense Holdings and Oak Ridge say they will structure a technical roadmap to complete the development of a handheld explosives detector.
