Korea develops new nanomaterial process

Aug. 8, 2005 –Soon Hyung Hong at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has developed a new carbon nanotube production technology for dispersion.

Carbon nanotubes are strong and flexible but very cohesive. This makes it difficult to disperse them onto steel or ceramic materials. The new technology helps alleviate this problem. The technology was evaluated in the journal Advanced Materials.
