Puerto Rico conference delivers essentials of bio/pharma cleanroom design and operation

SAN JUAN, PR – The essentials of designing, constructing, qualifying and operating a pharmaceutical cleanroom will be presented by internationally recognized contamination-control expert Dr. Hans Schicht at CleanRooms Puerto Rico, November 17, at the Wyndham Condado Plaza Hotel & Casino. Dr. Schicht has given seminars and presented lectures on cleanroom technology topics in many countries around the world. He represents Switzerland on ISO/TC 209 and CEN/TC 243, the technical committees responsible for international and European standardization in the cleanroom technology field, and he was executive secretary of the Swiss Society for Contamination Control (SRRT) for the years 1994-2004.

Completion of Dr. Schicht’s course will convey attendees with a certificate attesting to their having gained the competence and background knowledge for assuming responsible positions within the contamination-control field. During the four sessions, training will include: determining cleanliness zoning concepts; elaborating and optimizing the layout of clean facilities; preparing basic specifications and qualification master plans for cleanroom systems; evaluating and assessing technical proposals; developing qualification strategies; and understanding essential standards and regulatory requirements for contamination control in facilities producing sterile and nonsterile pharmaceutical products and medical devices.

CleanRooms Puerto Rico will also include industry exhibits showcasing the latest in contamination-control technology and products.
