AdvanceTEC recognized as Rising 25

AdvanceTEC of Richmond, VA, has been selected as one of Richmond’s “Rising 25”

January 17, 2006 — /AdvanceTEC/ — The Rising 25 is an annual list of the Richmond area’s fastest-growing private, independent businesses. The recognition is designed to acknowledge the area’s entrepreneurial spirit and highlight a select few noteworthy businesses.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, “Phenomenal growth is the one trait that links all the companies on the Rising 25.” The average five-year growth rate for companies on this year’s list is 387 percent. This is the first year AdvanceTEC has been selected to receive this prestigious recognition.

The Rising 25 program is co-sponsored by KPMG LLP, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Scores are based on a minimum of a five-year revenue history. Award winners will be honored at a banquet on January 26, 2006. This is the 16th year of these awards

AdvanceTEC is a design/build cleanroom and process systems contractor working within the microelectronics, biotech, semiconductor, medical, food, and pharmaceutical industries. AdvanceTEC has been awarded contracts in excess of $20 million, having assimilated a backlog through mid 2006. AdvanceTEC has become a leader in designing and constructing Nanotechnology research facilities for customers such as The Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC, Purdue University, Penn State University, and The University of Maryland. Facilities developed for Nanotechnology Research will be pivotal in future research for chemical warfare, healthcare, and for cancer research and diagnosis.
