Flomerics announces 2006 Thermal, EMC and Antenna Simulation training schedule

January 13, 2006 — /FLOMERICS/ — Flomerics has announced an extensive program of training classes for 2006 designed to help users take full advantage of its thermal, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and antenna and microwave simulation software. “Providing extensive training for our analysis software has always been the cornerstone of our success,” said Andy Farrington, Regional Director for the US Operation of Flomerics. “In 2006 we are proud to offer even more training in more locations to help our user base become as knowledgeable as possible.” A complete schedule of Flomerics training events can be found at: http://www.flomerics.com/events/index.jsp?&country=US.

Flotherm Introductory Training provides a three-day hands-on workshop that teaches attendees how to use Flotherm thermal analysis software. Complete with instructions and tutorial exercises, the workshop guides attendees through all aspects of model building, using SmartParts and libraries, importing data from mechanical computer aided design (MCAD) and electronic design automation (EDA) software, sequential optimization, and visualization of results. Flotherm Advanced Training is a one-day course that shows attendees how to set up and solve full three-dimensional airflow and thermal models for example cases. Integrated Circuit (IC) / Flopack training helps Flotherm users model IC packages to predict junction and case temperatures more accurately. The course is aimed at both system builders who use components and IC components suppliers.

FLO/EMC Introductory Training is a two-day course designed to familiarize attendees with EMC modeling and learn to use FLO/EMC software more productively. FLO/EMC Advanced Training is a one-day course that provides more detailed information on setting up and solving 3D EMC models. Micro-Stripes Introductory Training is a three-day course that helps engineers and others understand and practice the fundamentals of effective design and analysis using Micro-Stripes. Flovent Introductory Training is designed to familiarize new and existing users with the use of Flovent to simulate and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning in buildings.
