Chi has held significant manufacturing leadership roles at both UMC and Chartered Semiconductor. Most recently, he was president of UMC in Europe. Chi has started and operated both 200- and 300-mm fabs, and he was president of UMCi Limited, a wafer fab joint venture between UMC, Infineon, and the Singapore Economic Development Board. A 24-year industry veteran, Chi holds six U.S. patents in semiconductor process and computer integrated manufacturing.
(January 12, 2006) Palo Alto, CA — Agilent Technologies has settled on the name Verigy for its upcoming semiconductor test spin-off company. The new name will be used when the new company separates from Agilent; a move expected to happen near mid-2006.
