ITC eyeing ST, SanDisk flash spat

February 13, 2006 – The US International Trade Commission has changed its mind and will investigate a complaint by SanDisk Corp. against STMicroelectronics alleging patent infringement of NOR and NAND flash memory technologies.

SanDisk filed suit against ST in December in California regarding NAND flash memory chips; after the ITC declined to review the complaint, SanDisk refiled with an expanded list of patents that covered both NAND and NOR flash.
