Electroglas CEO to lead Agilent test unit

April 11, 2006 – Agilent Technologies Inc., Palo Alto, CA, has appointed Keith Barnes as president and CEO of its Singapore-based semiconductor test subsidiary, Verigy Pte. Ltd., which the company is planning to spin off as an IPO later this year.

Barnes currently is chairman and CEO of IC prober manufacturer Electroglas Inc., San Jose, CA. Prior to that he was chairman and CEO of Integrated Measurement Systems, which was acquired by Credence Systems in 2001.

Jack Trautman, interim president of Agilent’s semiconductor test business and previously president of the company’s automated test group, will continue as a senior advisor.

Meanwhile, Electroglas has appointed Thomas Rohrs, a director since 2004, as chairman and CEO following Barnes’ departure. He is an adviser and consultant to a number of companies both public and private. Rohrs formerly was SVP of global operations for Applied Materials, and has held executive positions with Silicon Graphics, MIPS Computer Systems, and Hewlett-Packard’s PC business. Rohrs currently sits on the boards of Magna Design Automation and Ultraclean Technologies.
