Produce Safety & Security International, Inc. announces beef and dairy industry initiative

Produce Safety’s Spherequat(R)1000 and ozone technologies will save the industry millions

April 19, 2006 — /MARKET WIRE/ — PRESCOTT, Ariz. — (PRODUCE SAFETY AND SECURITY INTERNATIONAL, INC. (OTC: PDSC) (“PDSC”), a sanitation disinfectant process supplier to the food and medical industries, today announced the initiative to increase the awareness to the multi billion dollar Beef and Dairy Industry of Produce Safety’s “Food Safe” applications and suite of solutions.

Produce Safety offers several technologies to the Meat Industry — specifically processing plants. These technologies, when applied during certain processing stages, benefit the plants by cutting costs while providing a cleaner environment for meat handling and distribution. An example of a cost saving application would be to use Produce Safety’s EPA Registered Spherequat(r)1000 disinfectant that would eliminate the necessity to super heat wash water and greatly reduce the use of soaps and disinfectants in mandatory cleaning procedures.

Produce Safety offers technologies that will benefit the Dairy Industry as well. One example would be the ozonation of the water supply the milk producing cows drink, utilizing Produce Safety’s Ozone technology. This will result in an increase of milk production per dairy cow by reducing the microbial count in the water. California’s Central Valley California is recognized as the largest milk-producing region in the world. The Company’s new Fresno, California Procurement Center is ideally located to capitalize on this market.

Produce Safety has engaged the services of Robert Hill as special consultant to assist Produce Safety in providing cost saving product applications to the Beef and Dairy Industry. Mr. Hill has over 20 years of experience in the meat processing, dairy and fresh produce industry. Mr. Hill spent 10 years as Plant Manager and Head of Operations for a large Cattle Processing Plant in the California Bay Area.

Clarence W. Karney, CEO of Produce Safety & Security International, stated, “We are pleased with the response we have received from our poultry and swine production customers and the ability of our team to address their concerns with solutions that address their concerns. Our team’s sales results are even better then our initial projections for these markets. The fundamentals for these industries are very similar and we believe we can replicate our success by targeting dairy and beef producers. Considering the benefits, like our complete audit trail, as well as our critical wastewater and sanitation solutions, we feel this can become a strong market for us.”
