PSi closing China backend ops in reorg

April 7, 2006 – PSi Technologies Holdings Inc., a provider of assembly and test services, said it will close its facility in Chengdu by the end of this month as part of a move to consolidate operations. Work performed at the site will be partially shifted to the company’s facility in Laguna, Philippines.

The company expects to realize about $3.1 million in asset impairment charges and severance costs, but ultimately will reduce operating losses by $1.8 million on an annualized basis.
